Social media has got more complicated in recent years. To me, there are six priority networks that all do slightly different things, and work for different markets. The growth of vertical video as a format is relevant to all of them.
I see a lot of businesses struggling to make sense of their social media output. Inconsistent posting and messaging is one problem, but many don’t join it to wider business goals very well. Going viral is not very useful unless it ties into wider metrics, and often output doesn’t match the key growth levers of the platform. This is a hidden inefficiency cost because money is being spent on output that doesn’t really make much difference to the bottom line.
My approach is to assess the key platforms that are relevant for the client. On each, is the publishing as effective as it can be to grow audience and engagement that aligns to business goals? Very few get it completely right, but I can help to make it better.
I’ve got long term experience of publishing to Facebook. I’ve gained 50,000 followers on Instagram and I publish every day on LinkedIn. I’ve overseen large YouTube and TikTok channels and built teams that drove profitability, and had a good time while they were at it. I’ve run a publishing operation on X that posted 80 stories a day, to millions of followers. Rest assured, I’ve got the experience to help your business grow on this now vital area of marketing.
